DET/TAFE Corporate Services Proposal

The PSA has just been advised that a member of management is currently advising staff how the Corporate Services Proposal will affect them and their jobs and that it is final.

Members are also being told that the PSA has AGREED to the proposal. THIS IS UNTRUE.

The proposal is due to be announced by email at 3 - 4pm today.

The PSA has been advised it will be a broad announcement.

More detailed job and structure details will be available the week of 10 November with a four week period of consultation with the PSA.

The Lifelong Learning consultative period ends on 4 November 2003.

The PSA has NOT signed off on the Managing Displaced Employees policy - negotiations continue.

DET has advised its bulletin will clarify this misunderstanding.

A more detailed bulletin on Lifelong Learning and related issues will follow.
