SAS Staff News: - Teachers Stop Work Meeting, October 26

24 October 2005

The Teachers Federation has called a two hour stop work meeting for Wednesday 26 October 2005.

PSA members are directed not to undertake any teachers' duties during the strike. Supervision of students should not be carried out by PSA members in schools. Principals should make arrangements for procedures if parents drop off students. Members may tell Principals that they will keep doors and gates locked.

Teachers' Aides Special should note that they are not to supervise individual students or classes in the absence of a teacher. Teachers' Aides Special who are advised by Principals to stay home on strike days will be paid for the day.

If students attend school, ring the Principal and ensure that they are picked up or arrangements made that do not involve PSA members in supervision.

Do not participate in the collection of teachers stop work statistics.
