S19 Review: Crown Employees (Department Of Commerce) Award

State Awards are periodically reviewed under this process. Negotiation began with the Department in December 2007.

The first proposal from the Department was not acceptable and wandered into areas not usually the province of the Section 19 Review process.

The review has been before the NSW Industrial Relations commission on 18/1/08 and 21/4/08 but was stood over due to a range of outstanding issues. The matter has been listed again on 19/5/08.

The PSA meet with the Department on 23/4/08 to iron out the outstanding issues. Agreement has now been reached on almost all issues. Some issues, where agreement cannot be reached, may have to be dealt with in a different forum.
