TAFE/DET: - Briefing of Labor Members of Parliament

Tomorrow there is a briefing of State Labor MPs organised through Labor Council on the proposed changes to TAFE. The invitation to MPs from John Roberston, secretary of Labor Council, says in part: "HOSTED BY Ian West, MLC, and Tony Burke, MLC.

"There will be representatives from the Public Service Association, the Teachers Federation and the Labor Council.

"We recognise that you may not be able to make the briefing in person. This will be the first of several events that we will hold to involve you in this campaign. If you would like to have further information about this issue from a union perspective, please contact John Robertson or Mark Lennon at the Labor Council.

"Attached is a written briefing about the proposed changes produced by the Teachers Federation."
